JOB DESCRIPTION
Collective Acumen LLC is a bicoastal strategic consulting and market research firm in the life science industry. We are seeking a consultant to join our team at our offices in either Stamford, CT or Silicon Valley, CA (possibility for remote/flexible work, depending on the candidate).

The core leadership team at Collective Acumen brings together over 80 years of cumulative drug development and commercialization experience from mid-size to large life science and consulting firms. This deep, cross-functional expertise allows us to solve complex business problems across the entire bioscience product lifecycle. As a consultant at Collective Acumen, you will work directly with our team of principals, consultants, and analysts to inform critical decisions in the development of a broad range of therapeutic products from public and privately held clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Including, but not limited to…
• Work directly, as a team, with our principals, consultants and analysts to address the clients strategic needs
• Research and summarize the pathophysiology, diagnostic workup and treatment practices across a variety of disease states
• Investigate the market landscape and competitive dynamics using both public and private data sources
• Assist in the development and execution of market research projects, including the design of tools for data collection and statistical analysis of market data
• Synthesize market research and analysis to extract relevant strategic insights for our clients
• Develop programming and deliver presentations to communicate insights during internal and client-facing meetings
• Communicate strategic insights through the design and execution of client-facing presentations

QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS required. PhD, MD, or Master’s in a relevant life sciences field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in industry or post-graduate research is required (relevant fields include, but are not limited to life-sciences, healthcare, clinical research, pharmacology/pharmacy, or management consulting)
• Ability to anticipate and address complex business problems through analytical thinking
• Proven track record of working effectively in a team setting
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Passion and curiosity for understanding life science markets and products
• Experience manipulating complex data and applying statistical analysis to extract correlations and insights
• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software/languages is a plus: (R, SAS, SPSS, MatLab, Python, Statwing)

Collective Acumen is a U.S. based consulting firm; fluency in English is required.
Candidates must possess work authorization for the United States.
